Treatment outcomes after surgical disc repositioning: rationale, indications, timing

Disc displacement (DD) is a common disorder affecting the temporomandibular joint. The most important point of the treatment of DD is the diagnosis. The clinical examination,  RMI and CT allow  to know the stage of the disorder and to determine the best treatment for each patient. Based on scientific evidence and clinical experience we will discuss when and why disc repositioning is needed as well as the results of this treatment approach.
